Assignment Details
Our client, a leading global development sector organisation, is looking to engage with a consultant having experience in managing projects or building strategies for projects focused on gender equality, women empowerment, Self Help Groups etc. The consultant will be joining the client on an ongoing project that includes an emphasis on SHGs as an important platform for advancing women’s economic empowerment.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Design modules to tie directly to women’s lives and goals, and help improve teamwork in financial enterprises
- Design key resilience sessions adapted to include a mix of activities to help educate on a variety of social topics
- Work with the client's team to achieve set goals given the potential ability of SHGs to drive impacts across multiple development outcomes
- Oversee effective use of the program for SHGs, both for gender equality (empowerment) outcomes as well as other development outcomes
- Provide inputs to ensure that the current project focuses on key aspects of financial inclusion and health outcomes for women
- Help address asymmetries in information, networks, access to resources, and services
- Keep all stakeholders informed of progress and issues
- Arbitrate and resolve conflict and interface problems within the project
This role is based in Delhi and will require your full-time on-site presence for the duration of the project, i.e., 3-4 months.
Skills Required
1. Ability to lead and motivate people and encourage teamwork
2. Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
3. Proven experience in risk management
4. Critical thinking and problem solving skills
5. Experience in the social sector will be preferred
6. Experience in working on projects focused on gender and SHGs will be preferred
