These marketing departments are decentralised and have a variety of practices and processes. We are seeking a step change in performance from these departments, a significantly enhanced commercial focus and efficiency as part of an adjustment to changing market conditions and reshaping of the organisations strategy.
We would like a management consultant with experience in marketing across sectors to be a thought partner throughout this ongoing process.
As an early initial starting point we are keen to review and improve the use of KPI’s across all Marketing departments and ensure the KPI’s are the right measures and effectively drive behaviour to maximise shareholder value within the existing business model.
We would like a management consultant with experience in marketing across sectors to do a desktop analysis of best practice KPI’s across; addressing the following questions
• What are typical KPI’s used for marketing departments in resources companies; including sales revenue, customer & markets depth, working capital, staff satisfaction, costs?
• How do they differ across commodity types
• What are typical KPI’s used by best practice firms in oil/gas, agricultural commodities?
• How do KPI’s differ between traders and producers
Depending on performance it is anticipated that this project could evolve into multiple thought partnering stages.
1. Consulting experience with a top-tier consulting firm is a pre-requisite
2. Strong data analysis and report-writing skills
3. Comfort with doing hands-on research & data analysis
4. Comfort with speaking to industry experts to validate hypotheses & points of view as needed
