Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead SEO + AEO strategy for the client - not just ranking for keywords but ranking for
questions, voice queries, and AI chat engine answers.
2. Lead and upskill internal teams of content/seo - set the performance agenda, review outcomes
critically, and push them toward innovation and accountability.
3. Continuously learn and implement emerging practices in AEO/GEO, structured data, AI snippets, schema, and conversational search behavior.
4. Work closely with category (tiles), product (website), and retail (sales) teams to identify micro-
moments of consumer search (e.g., “best tiles for kitchen”, “bathroom tile combos”) and optimize conversion flows.
-10+ years in SEO, ideally in consumer tech, home decor, or fintech.
- Proven record of growing organic traffic, optimizing complex funnels, and managing agency
performance.
- Has a test-and-learn mindset, comfortably running 10 small experiments a month and building insights.
- Is analytical yet creative translating data into hypotheses, not just reports.
- Client has a team of 3 (handling SEO/Content) through whom you have to deliver.
- Thrives on constructive confrontation demanding the best work from internal teams.
