Executive Summary
In H1 2025 (April - Sept 2025, freelancer registrations rose by 100% between April and September 2025, compared with the same period last year. The sharpest rise came from IT and Technology, where consultant registrations increased by 75% year-on-year.
Senior professionals are entering the freelance economy in record numbers. Registrations from consultants with more than 15 years of experience grew by 111%, and close to half of them have 20+ years of experience contributing as strategic advisors, interim leaders and transformation specialists.
On the client side, demand has risen sharply. Consulting projects grew by 77%, followed by Industrials at 39%, as organisations increasingly rely on external expertise to drive transformation, build resilience and accelerate delivery.
