Assignment Details

Our client, an American multinational strategy and management consulting firm is looking to engage with a consultant who can deliver following key responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and execute national sales and distribution strategies to drive business growth across secured lending products.
  • Lead large regional and territorial field sales teams across multiple geographies, with strong focus on semi-urban and rural markets.
  • Drive business expansion, market penetration, and portfolio growth through structured sales planning and execution.
  • Build and strengthen sourcing channels including DSTs, connectors, referral networks, and alternate distribution partnerships.
  • Monitor and improve sales productivity, lead funnel management, and conversion efficiency across regions.
  • Develop market planning and territory expansion strategies based on customer segments, competition, and business potential.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, business projections, and regional growth plans aligned with organizational targets.
  • Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual disbursement, revenue, and profitability targets.
  • Establish performance management frameworks, KPIs, and governance mechanisms for regional and zonal sales teams.
  • Drive recruitment, training, mentoring, and capability building initiatives for field sales and distribution teams.
  • Collaborate closely with credit, operations, risk, and collections teams to ensure portfolio quality and process compliance.
  • Monitor sourcing quality, customer acquisition trends, and portfolio performance across assigned geographies.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop scalable distribution models to enhance customer reach and sourcing efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners, regional stakeholders, and leadership teams.
  • Analyze business performance metrics, market trends, and competitive intelligence to support strategic decision-making and continuous business improvement.

 

Skills Required

Experience: 

 

  • 10+ years of experience in secured lending / Micro-LAP sales and distribution.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a National Sales Head or equivalent leadership role.
  • Proven track record of scaling Micro-LAP or affordable secured lending businesses.
  • Strong experience managing large geographically distributed field sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of semi-urban and rural lending ecosystems.
  • Expertise in sourcing channel development including DSTs, connectors, and non-DSA networks.
  • Strong analytical and operational skills with focus on productivity and conversion metrics.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and team-building capabilities.
  • Open to candidates who have recently retired within the last 1–2 years and remain actively engaged in the industry.
