Job Responsibilities-
1. To facilitate new product development and existing product improvement
2. To continuously capture customer requirements and translate into value added products through new product development or improvement of existing products
3. Monitor the life-cycle maintenance process of all products.
4. Execute Quality Function deployment through extensive market assessment and product bench marking to enable in new product development.
5. To capture customer requirements for respective markets and identify new product development or existing product improvement needs.
6. Identifying and benchmarking for New product development and improvement of existing products.
7. Market visit, meeting with customers, Market analysis and understanding of product performance requirements and gaps.
8. Incorporate inputs from market visits, competitor activities analysis and customer sales feedback in developing more application based products within set timelines.
9. Initiate development projects for new products based on the market gaps or improvement projects for existing products.
10. Organize and coordinate with the testing team for indoor and outdoor test requirements.
Key Skills-
1. Ability to think for innovative & out of the box solutions)
2. Cultural orientation to engage with customers, proactively assess their needs and continuously create value for them
3. Proficiency in Product Development mainly on metals.
4. Ability to study & interpret data/trends and draw inferences/projections
5. Creates new and imaginative approaches to work related issues. Identifies fresh approaches and shows a willingness to question traditional assumption.
6. 4-7 years, preferably in Product development.
7. Msc. or BSc in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Engineering
