Our client, a leading Automotive Components Manufacturer, is seeking a senior independent Manufacturing/ Operations Consultant to support a strategic diagnostic and operational improvement assignment. The engagement will focus on assessing plant performance, identifying operational and capacity improvement opportunities, and developing a pragmatic roadmap to strengthen manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain effectiveness.
Key Engagement Areas
Strong exposure to automotive components / industrial manufacturing is preferred, particularly environments involving:
Injection Moulding / Engineering Plastics
Tooling
Electroplating / Surface Treatment
Component Manufacturing
Assembly Operations
Machine Shops / Production Facilities
15+ years of relevant experience across manufacturing, operations, plant transformation, or management consulting.
Prior experience with automotive components or adjacent industrial manufacturing sectors.
Strong experience in plant diagnostics, operational improvement, capacity assessment, and/or plant turnaround assignments.
Exposure to procurement and supply chain transformation is highly desirable.
Experience working with senior plant / business leadership and translating operational findings into actionable improvement plans.
Former management consulting experience is preferred, particularly candidates who can combine structured problem-solving with hands-on manufacturing expertise. However, strong industry practitioners with relevant transformation experience will also be considered.
