Our client is a leading global specialist in energy management and automation and is looking for an Export Control Specialist to ensure compliance with international export control regulations, trade compliance requirements, sanctions programs, and global export operations.
Key Responsibilities
Export Compliance Management
Ensure compliance with applicable export control regulations, including EAR, ITAR, EU Dual-Use Regulations, UK Export Controls, and other country-specific requirements.
Review and approve export transactions to verify regulatory compliance.
Classify products, software, and technology according to applicable export control classifications.
Determine licensing requirements and maintain export authorization records.
Screening & Due Diligence
Conduct restricted party screening against government-denied party and sanctions lists.
Perform end-user and end-use reviews to identify potential compliance risks.
Support sanctions compliance activities related to embargoed countries and restricted entities.
Licensing & Documentation
Prepare and submit export license applications and supporting documentation.
Maintain export licenses and monitor license utilization.
Ensure accurate export documentation, including commercial invoices, shipping instructions,
certificates, and declarations.
Risk Assessment & Audits
Conduct internal compliance reviews and audits.
Identify potential export control risks and implement corrective actions.
Support investigations related to export compliance violations or incidents.
Assist in developing mitigation plans and compliance improvement initiatives.
Training & Advisory Support
Provide export control guidance to business teams.
Develop and deliver compliance training programs.
Keep management informed of regulatory changes affecting business operations.
Support implementation of export compliance policies and procedures.
Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate with logistics, supply chain, legal, engineering, procurement, and sales functions.
Interface with government agencies, customs authorities, and external consultants when required.
