Our client, a leading global specialist in Energy Management and Automation, is seeking an Independent Sourcing Manager to join the Global Procurement team and work closely with the Global Software Leader. The role will be responsible for managing strategic sourcing and procurement activities across Software, Telecom, and Hardware, with a strong focus on contractual negotiations, supplier management, stakeholder engagement, and delivering productivity across the assigned portfolio.
This is a highly collaborative role within a multicultural and global environment, requiring strong commercial acumen, IT/Telecom knowledge, and the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and geographies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial and contractual negotiations across Software, Telecom, and Hardware categories.
Own the procurement process for assigned projects, ensuring adherence to Global Procurement standards, policies, and processes.
Partner with stakeholders to understand, challenge, prioritize, and formalize business needs and requirements.
Work closely with Cybersecurity, Legal, Data Privacy, IT, Finance, HR, and other cross-functional teams to ensure procurement requirements are addressed effectively.
Manage the end-to-end supplier evaluation, referencing, selection, and relationship management process.
Analyze supplier proposals, pricing structures, and commercial models to identify opportunities for optimization and cost efficiency.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, service, risk, and business requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, tools, and stakeholder communication.
Act as a trusted procurement partner to stakeholders across a global organization.
Own and drive productivity and savings outcomes for the assigned portfolio.
Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement and recommend appropriate actions.

8+ years of relevant experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Purchasing roles.
Strong experience in contractual and commercial negotiations, preferably across technology-related categories.
Strong IT and Telecom procurement knowledge, including:
Technology vendors and the broader technology landscape.
IT/Telecom contractual terms and conditions.
Pricing structures and commercial mechanisms.
Supplier evaluation and management.
Demonstrated expertise in supplier management, cost analysis, sourcing methodologies, and procurement tools.
Strong ability to assess business requirements, challenge existing needs, and develop appropriate cost-versus-service trade-offs.
Experience working with cross-functional and international stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Fluent English is mandatory, both written and verbal.
