Assignment Details

Our client, an American Private Foundation, is looking to engage with a Strategy Consultant - Healthcare:

Proposed terms of reference for the consultant are:
A. Assessment of the existing CHCs in the state for activating them as First Referral Units with a specific focus on resources, skill, and facility organization aspects for effective screening and management of maternal anemia and postpartum hemorrhage.
B. Capacity building of the relevant health systems actors (supply chain, engineering workforce, facility leads) in subsequent assessment and targeted resource availability for priority interventions related to MMR and NMR reduction in the state.
C. Advise state on a plan and pathway for overall assessment of state's health facility network through a comprehensive survey and strategies to design health facilities and equipping them with adequate resources for emerging RMNCHN and other disease burden of the state.
D. Support the institutions tasked with TA for comprehensive facility-community continuum approach for Anemia in prioritizing districts, identifying local stakeholders for resource and capacity-building interventions under upcoming investments in the state.

Key deliverables are:
A. An assessment outline of current functional status of existing CHCs with regards to infrastructure, health worker skills, and resources with a specific focus on management of maternal anemia and PPH. Timeline: 3 months after contract signing
B. A facility strengthening plan (with inputs from the state NHM) for activating relevant CHCs as FRUs (with attention to activating services related to anemia and PPH management). Timeline: 15 days of project end date.

Skills Required

- Work experience in consulting firms / strategy teams post a Master’s Degree
- Exposure to social / philanthropic sector is essential
- The candidate should have experience in project management & business planning
- Would be required to demonstrate logical thinking, good numeric abilities, and strong interpersonal skills
- Master's degree in Management from a premier institute
