Our client, a large auto components and precision engineering group is seeking a senior strategy consultant to partner with the promoters in shaping the vision and growth strategy for its diversified business portfolio. Leveraging its strong manufacturing and engineering capabilities, the group is expanding beyond its core automotive business into five strategic verticals: Oil & Gas, Semiconductors, Defence, Aerospace, and MedTech.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead structured conversations with promoters to understand their vision for the portfolio, rationale for diversification, and strategic intent for each vertical
• Synthesize input from multiple stakeholders into a coherent, compelling group-level strategy narrative
• Challenge and validate strategic assumptions; stress-test the diversification thesis and individual vertical strategies
• Develop a clear articulation of the group's overarching vision, value proposition, and competitive positioning across the five verticals
• Define broad go-to-market and capability-building strategies for each vertical
• Create documents and presentations suitable for external stakeholders (partners, investors, talent prospects) and internal alignment

• 15+ years of professional experience, including managerial roles in an MBB firm or equivalent senior consulting background
• Track record of delivering 3+ strategy projects at the group, portfolio, or corporate level (diversification, multi-business strategy, or similar scope)
• Experience working with founders, C-suite executives, and boards to define and refine strategic direction
• Strong track record in synthesis, facilitation, and translating complex strategic thinking into clear narratives
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, or B2B engineering sectors is strongly preferred but not mandatory
