Our client, a leading global FMCG organisation, is looking to engage with a Senior Government Advocacy Consultant for a 12-month project.
-Develop and execute comprehensive government advocacy strategies aligned with organisational priorities.
-Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at the local, state, and national levels that may impact the organisation.
-Build and maintain relationships with key government officials, policymakers, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
-Represent the organisation in meetings, hearings, and public forums, advocating for favourable policy outcomes.
-Draft policy briefs, white papers, position statements, and official communications for internal and external use.
-Collaborate with internal teams (legal, communications, operations) to align advocacy efforts with overall business strategy.
-Analyse political, economic, and policy trends to advise leadership on risks and opportunities.
Manage and guide junior team members or consultants working on advocacy-related projects.

-Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, International Relations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
-Industry: Experience with advocacy for FMCG/Pharma/OTC is preferred.
-15+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, regulatory affairs, or political consulting.
-Strong network within relevant government agencies, legislative bodies, and public policy circles.
-Proven experience in drafting policy documents, developing advocacy strategies, and managing external stakeholders.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
-Ability to work independently and manage complex, fast-moving issues with multiple stakeholders.
- Diversity in candidates is preferred.
