Our client, a Partner at a Venture Capital fund, is looking to engage with a Consultant to develop a fundraising strategy for an early-stage Healthcare portfolio client.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop an understanding of the existing business (including
products/services, customers, competitors, the overall market and trends)
through careful research and analysis.
2. Develop & implement end to end fundraising strategy (including Debt and
Equity) and capital structure & action plans.
3. Prepare Investor’s pitch deck and presentations & provide inputs on best
practices & sustainable & efficient models for delivery.
4. Identify and approach possible funding partners and develop relationships
with key decision-makers.
5. Write and present proposals to new funding partners.
6. Work alongside the executive team to define the pitch used in investor
meetings; practice the pitch with the executives and help the management
team pre-empt investor questions
7. Pressure tests every aspect of the client’s business ahead of fundraising
meetings
8. Participate in problem-solving sessions with senior and program leaders to
develop the right approaches.
Location: Remote
Duration of the project: 3-6 months
1. Minimum 10 years of experience either in strategy consulting, venture capital or
investment banking
2. Strong experience developing high-quality financial models and business plans
3. Prior exposure to developing financial models for early-stage ventures and
start-ups will be a huge plus
4. Financial management experience with planning, forecasting, and business
analysis
5. Strong oral and written communication skills
