Our client, an AI-first data engineering and business analytics consulting firm, is looking to board a Leader for their Insurance Consulting Practice who can bridge the gap between high-level strategy and granular operational reality. The role focuses on insurance analytics and AI-led transformation, strategic accounts, new business development, account growth, and defining analytics use cases across Data Engineering, Data Science, Product Engineering, and Consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strong understanding of insurance sub-sectors, operating models, value drivers and underlying mechanics.
• Understand insurance operations across sales, enrollment, eligibility, underwriting, policy issuance, premium collection, claims, customer servicing and renewal.
• Knowledge of Disability insurance, including short- and long-term disability, wage replacement models and return-to-work journeys, is preferred.
• Strong understanding of insurance data and process landscapes across customer, policy, claims, billing, agent/broker, operational and third-party data.
• Good understanding of Life & Supplemental Benefits and Absence & Leave Management.
• Stay current with Data Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, GenAI, workflow automation and digital product platforms used in insurance.
• Drive transformation and buy-in across business, operations, claims, actuarial, technology and analytics teams.
• Partner with sales and business development teams on go-to-market strategies, client identification and new business opportunities.
• Translate insurance business challenges into analytics and AI/ML-led solutions across claims, underwriting, customer operations, policy servicing, distribution and absence
management.
• Lead consultants and subject matter experts while managing solutions and transformation programs across accounts and stakeholders.
• Partner with clients on business challenges, provide strategic guidance and drive thought leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in analytics consulting, insurance consulting, AI/ML transformation or data-driven business consulting.
• Strong insurance domain exposure, preferably in disability, life, supplemental benefits or group insurance.
• Proven experience working with senior client stakeholders on strategic initiatives and analytics-led transformation.
• Strong understanding of at least one of Data Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, digital product development or consulting-led transformation.
• Experience in delivery oversight, pre-sales, account growth and global team collaboration.
• Exposure to claims analytics, customer analytics, risk analytics, data platforms and AI-led insurance transformation.
