Assignment Details

Our client is looking to engage with an IT Delivery Quality Lead to oversee, challenge, and assure the work delivered by our System Integrator (SI) teams in Bangalore. This role is critical to ensuring that our global ERP programme is delivered with the highest standards of quality, consistency, and compliance.

 

The Consultant will act as the independent “second line of defence” within the delivery organization—monitoring build quality, validating deliverables, enforcing standards, and ensuring that the SI adheres to agreed methodologies, timelines, and engineering principles. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assure Delivery Quality
• Oversee and validate SI deliverables across solution build, integrations, data, testing, validation, and technical services.
• Ensure adherence to architecture, design &coding principles, documentation guidelines, and testing standards and agreed delivery methodologies
• Conduct quality reviews, deep-dives, and checkpoints to ensure delivery readiness with first time right avoiding cost of rework.

 

Govern Delivery Performance
• Monitor SI progress against plans, milestones, and quality gates.
• Identify deviations early and drive corrective actions with SI leadership.
• Ensure compliance with programme governance, change control, and release management.

 

Partner with Global Teams
• Act as the quality interface between the Bangalore SI hub and global programme leadership.
• Translate global design and architecture requirements into clear quality expectations for the SI.

 

Risk & Issue Oversight
• Proactively identify risks, gaps, and delivery weaknesses.
• Drive mitigation plans and ensure SI accountability for resolution.

 

Quality-Focused Delivery Oversight
• Provide independent oversight of SI delivery activities, ensuring outputs meet required standards before they progress through the programme lifecycle.
• Validate that the SI has the right processes, controls, and quality mechanisms in place—and escalate when they do not.
• Ensure that build artefacts, configurations, integrations, and test evidence are complete, consistent, and compliant with programme expectations.
• Act as the guardian of delivery discipline, ensuring that the SI executes with rigour, transparency, and predictability.

 

Vendor Quality & Performance Management
• Hold the SI accountable for delivery quality, timelines, and adherence to contractual commitments including agreed cost and schedule variances
• Review SI staffing, capability, and performance—raising concerns and recommending improvements where needed.
• Build strong working relationships with SI leadership while maintaining independence and objectivity.
• Ensure that the SI continuously improves its delivery practices, quality controls, and engineering discipline.

• Proven experience in quality assurance, delivery governance, or programme oversight within large-scale IT transformations.

 

ERP & Integration Knowledge
• Strong understanding of Solution build, integration technologies (CPI, API, EDI), and data migration quality controls.

 

Governance & Control Mindset
• Ability to enforce standards, challenge assumptions, and ensure compliance without owning the delivery team.

 

Vendor Management Strength
• Experience overseeing SI partners and holding them accountable for quality and performance.

 

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
• Ability to identify root causes, assess delivery risks, and drive corrective actions.

Global Mindset
• Experience working in multinational environments with cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders.

 

Credentials
• Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in delivery assurance, quality management, or programme governance.
