Assignment Details

Key Responsibilities:

Priority 1 - Business Development & Revenue Model (Weeks 1–3)
• Working with the Principal, structure a revenue model customized to a boutique, principal-led
aviation advisory practice: transaction advisory mandates (milestone/success-fee weighted),
institutional retainers (multilateral/DFI engagements), geographic spread/dynamics and
productized fixed-fee offerings (market assessments, policy briefs, business-case packages).
• Output: revenue architecture (income streams, pricing logic, target mix) and a live BD pipeline
tracker with stages, weighting, and next actions.
 

Priority 2 - Pipeline Origination & Relationship System (Weeks 2–6)
• Stand up a repeatable origination rhythm: cadence screening of multilateral/DFI tender portals,
structured reactivation of the Principal’s warm network, and a light content-placement calendar
(LinkedIn, publication leverage).
• Convert the Principal’s LinkedIn database export into a living relationship document and CRM
working tool (Excel or suitable alternative): a segmented contact base (by geography, institution
type, and relationship strength) designed for building authentic relationships and mutual
commercial success - not cold-list selling.
• Define ways of engagement across the full sales/business funnel - from visibility and first contact, through relationship nurturing, to opportunity, proposal, and mandate - with recommended touch types and cadence at each stage, suited to a relationship-driven, “digital-first” business culture.
• Output: a monthly origination calendar with defined weekly quotas (tenders screened, outreach
touches, content placements); the LinkedIn-derived relationship tool, live and maintained; and a
one-page funnel engagement framework - all tracked against conversion.

Priority 3 - Digital Presence Review & Action Plan (Weeks 3–8)
• Conduct a structured review of the firm’s digital footprint and LinkedIn as primary inputs - assessed against the firm’s operating reality: a globally distributed, relationship-driven client base across Africa, the GCC, and the Americas; mobile-first business communication (WhatsApp, emails as primary channels); and varied stakeholder types spanning airlines, DFIs, private capital, and government.
• The review should cover: visibility and discoverability (full SEO strategy - technical, on-page, and authority-building - with keyword and geographic targeting aligned to the firm’s markets); e-
commerce readiness (the pathway to selling productized offerings - directly online, including
payment rails suited to multi-currency, multi-region clients); mobile experience and WhatsApp
Business integration (click-to-chat, catalogue, business profile); and LinkedIn positioning (company page and Principal’s profile working as one credibility system), assist in answering the question: how can AI tools/integration/agents assist our business?
• Constraint to manage: already have current website designer/host which will handle
implementation will be handled by a separate partner. Consultant’s role is to produce the
requirements, sequence the roadmap, and coordinate the handoff between the two - not to build.
• Output: a prioritized digital action plan (quick wins vs. structural changes), an SEO strategy
document with 90-day targets, an e-commerce readiness assessment with a recommended
pathway, and a written change brief the incumbent designer can respond to and the implementing
partner can execute against.
