Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned professional to provide strategic leadership and advisory support in strengthening disease modelling capacity in India. The role will focus on enabling data-driven public health decision-making and enhancing collaboration across the national health ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide strategic leadership to strengthen and scale disease modelling capacity in India , including development of frameworks, priorities, and approaches to support national health programs and policy decision-making.
2. Strengthen and align national modelling ecosystem , including engagement with institutions, networks (including NDMC), and stakeholders to build capacity, foster collaboration, and enhance impact of modelling in public health.
3. Support identification and prioritization of policy-relevant questions for modelling , and facilitate integration of modelling insights into evidence-based planning and decision-making processes.
4. Provide strategic inputs and advisory support to ICMR on modelling-related initiatives as required
Qualifications & Experience
-Advanced degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Economics, or a related field
-Strong experience in disease modelling, public health analytics, or health systems strengthening
-Proven experience working with government bodies, research institutions, or multilateral organizations
-Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into policy-relevant insights
