Our client, a global leader in energy management and automation, is hiring a Consultant – Security Lead India to lead multi-site security operations, risk management, vendor governance, security technology, compliance, investigations, and crisis management.
Scope of Responsibility
The Security Lead will have accountability for:
• Leadership and governance of site Security Officers
• Management of multiple security service providers and contracts
• Security budgets and cost optimization initiatives
• Security KPIs, SLAs, and governance reviews
• Enterprise risk management and mitigation programs
• Security technology and systems performance
• Investigations, incident management, and crisis response
Key Responsibilities
1. Security Operations Leadership
• Lead and manage security operations across multiple locations.
• Drive standardization of security practices, procedures, and controls.
• Conduct periodic site visits, operational reviews, and security audits.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance security effectiveness and operational efficiency.
• Ensure delivery of contractual commitments, KPIs, and SLAs.
2. Risk Management & Security Governance
• Conduct Security Risk Assessments, Threat Assessments, and Vulnerability Assessments.
• Identify emerging security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain and review regional security risk registers.
• Lead security surveys, audits, compliance reviews, and governance programs.
• Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
3. Security Technology Management
Provide governance and oversight for:
• CCTV Surveillance Systems
• Access Control Systems (ACS)
• Visitor Management Systems (VMS)
• Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
• Boom Barriers and Perimeter Protection Systems
• Security Operations/Control Centers
Responsibilities include performance monitoring, lifecycle management, technology upgrades, vendor coordination, and system optimization.
4. Incident, Investigation & Crisis Management
• Lead investigations into security incidents, losses, fraud, violations, and workplace misconduct.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA programs.
• Coordinate response to security alerts and emergency situations.
• Support crisis management and business continuity initiatives.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders when required.
5. Vendor & Contract Management
• Manage third-party security service providers across India.
• Conduct vendor performance reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
• Monitor manpower deployment, productivity, and service quality.
• Ensure statutory compliance of deployed security personnel.
• Drive contract governance, service improvements, and cost optimization initiatives.
6. Stakeholder Management
Collaborate closely with:
• Schneider Electric Leadership Teams
• Corporate Security
• JLL IFM Leadership
• Plant and Site Management Teams
• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
• Human Resources (HR)
• Legal and Compliance Functions
• External Regulatory and Law Enforcement Authorities
Act as the primary security advisor to business stakeholders on security-related matters.
7. Compliance & Regulatory Governance
Ensure compliance with:
• PSARA Requirements
• Applicable Labour Laws
• Corporate Security Standards
• Data Privacy & Information Protection Requirements
• ISO 45001 and Corporate EHS Standards
• CTPAT / AEO Requirements (where applicable)
• Statutory and Customer Security Compliance Requirements
8. Training & Security Culture
• Deliver security awareness and employee engagement programs.
• Conduct emergency response and crisis management exercises.
• Facilitate active threat preparedness and workplace violence awareness programs.
• Develop site security teams through coaching, mentoring, and capability-building initiatives.
• Ensure periodic training and certification of deployed security personnel.
9. Reporting & Analytics
Prepare and present:
• Monthly Security Governance Reports
• Security KPI & SLA Dashboards
• Incident Trends and Analytics
• Audit and Compliance Reports
• Security Risk Registers
• Budget Performance and Cost Optimization Reports
• Executive Leadership Security Updates

Experience
• 10 years of experience in corporate, industrial, manufacturing, or enterprise security management.
• Minimum 5 years leading multi-site security operations.
• Experience managing security operations across at least 10 or more locations, including offices and manufacturing facilities.
• Proven experience in security vendor governance, investigations, risk management, and security technology.
• Experience working with multinational organizations and global security standards.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India.
