On-Site - Bengaluru

Assignment Details

Scope — Process Areas / Towers Covered
• Supply Chain Planning: demand planning & forecasting, integrated business planning/S&OP, distribution requirement planning, inventory planning & deployment
• Logistics & Transportation Management: warehouse operations, transportation planning & execution, proof of delivery & settlement, returns/reverse logistics
• Manufacturing: production planning & scheduling, inbound materials intake, manufacturing execution/conversion, packaging and finished-goods storage

Key Responsibilities — During Design & Diagnose
• Provide and validate current-state process documentation, SOPs, plant/network data and volume baselines for Supply Chain and Manufacturing to the delivery partner
• Coordinate Functional SMEs across planning, logistics and plant operations for process workshops and site visits
• Co-design future-state (to-be) process maps, RACI, KPIs and controls for Supply Chain and Manufacturing alongside the delivery partner
• Represent Supply Chain and Manufacturing in the retained-vs-shared-services placement decision, recognising that manufacturing execution activities are typically plant-retained while planning and transactional logistics processes are candidates for centralisation

Key Responsibilities — Through Build, Rollout & Steady State
• Own the Supply Chain and Manufacturing input to the wave-based transition and cutover plan across all five business units
• Validate that centralised planning/logistics processes meet agreed service levels (e.g. forecast accuracy, fill rate, OTIF) before and after go-live
• Track realisation of Supply Chain and Manufacturing savings and efficiency commitments (e.g. freight cost, conversion cost, wastage) against the approved business case
• Act as escalation point for Supply Chain and Manufacturing process issues during hypercare and stabilisation

Skills Required

  • 8–12+ years in Supply Chain Planning, Logistics or Manufacturing roles within FMCG/CPG manufacturing, including exposure to S&OP, plant operations and network design.
  • Prior experience participating in or leading a supply chain or manufacturing digitisation/transformation programme.
  • Working knowledge of planning/ERP systems (e.g. SAP APO/IBP or equivalent) and manufacturing execution systems.
  • Engineering degree with MBA/PGDM (Operations/Supply Chain) or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong end-to-end process orientation across planning-to-execution, comfortable working to L3–L5 process and shop-floor detail.
  • Able to reconcile centralisation ambitions with plant-level operational realities and local regulatory/union considerations.
  • Comfortable working across all five business units and multiple manufacturing sites to identify genuine common ground versus real local variance.
