Our client a top tier management consulting firm is looking to engage with a Consultant.
Context: Support the development and deployment of a diagnostic platform, Insights Cockpit (IC). The platform aims to centralize and scale how client data is ingested and transformed so that various diagnostics can be run to surface opportunities for clients. The contractor will work with a Senior Product Manager who is also staffed to the product.
Contractor Role: The contractor will act as a supporting Product Manager for a diagnostics platform.
o Key responsibilities include:
o Oversee the end‑to‑end PDLC for minor enhancements, ensuring each stage, from initial ideation through design, stakeholder sign‑off, and build, progresses smoothly, with clear documentation, alignment, and timely delivery.
o Provide structured support for live deployments, including coordination with engineering teams, validation of release readiness, communication of key changes, and post‑deployment monitoring to confirm stability.
o Act as the primary product point of contact for development team and senior product leader, offering regular updates, managing expectations, and ensuring clear visibility into progress, risks, and upcoming priorities.
o Own and continuously refine the roadmap and backlog for IC, maintaining a clear prioritization framework, incorporating feedback from stakeholders, and ensuring the backlog reflects product priorities and strategy.
o Facilitate all core scrum ceremonies to drive team alignment, support efficient delivery, and reinforce agile best practice.
o Conduct hands‑on testing and coordinate user testing activities with the development team, ensuring thorough coverage, documentation of findings, and a structured process to validate fixes and enhancements.
o Work closely with the development and delivery teams to triage bugs and enhancement requests, synthesizing feedback, aligning on priority, and ensuring outcomes are accurately reflected in both the analytics platform roadmap and the broader IC development plan.
o Lead release planning, user documentation, release notes and usage reporting
o Aid the senior product manager with discovery efforts by participating in user interviews, capturing and synthesizing data to recommend backlog items.
Contract duration: 4-6 months, extendable based on project needs and client pipeline
Expected time commitment: Full-time
Must have:
· 5+ years of experience as a product manager, product owner, business analyst, or in a similar role
· Proven ability to translate user and business needs into structured requirements, particularly for data and analytics features
· Strong comfort working with quantitative data, including hands-on experience with data querying and analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Python, or similar) and development tools like Jira
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
· Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments (e.g. consulting, start-ups)
· Experience working in agile product development environments (e.g. Scrum), including collaboration with engineering teams
· Fluent in English
Nice to have:
· Experience in diagnostics
· Familiarity with modern product development approaches such as rapid prototyping, using genAI tools to quickly explore and validate ideas
· Experience with Pendo
