Assignment Details

Our client, a Leading Global Investment Firm is looking to engage with a Senior Consultant – Manufacturing & Quality Improvement (Auto OEM).

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Lead manufacturing and quality improvement initiatives at the client’s Mexico plant, focusing on process optimization and performance enhancement.
     
  2. Identify operational inefficiencies, develop improvement strategies, and implement corrective actions to boost productivity and reduce defects.
     
  3. Collaborate with local management to ensure the implementation of best practices for quality control and manufacturing excellence.
     
  4. Conduct plant assessments, root cause analysis, and identify solutions to resolve manufacturing challenges.
     
  5. Drive lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline operations and reduce costs.
     
  6. Provide training and mentorship to local teams on process improvement, quality assurance, and operational best practices.
     
  7. Align local plant operations with global standards, collaborating with teams in Korea, China, and other regions to ensure consistency across plants.
     
  8. Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders, outlining key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
     
  9. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving within the plant team.
     
  10. Ensure compliance with local and international quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
     
  11. Assist in the development of long-term strategies for plant performance enhancement and quality management.
     
  12. Manage and influence cross-functional teams to drive successful implementation of improvement initiatives.

Skills Required

Key Skills Required:

  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing and quality management, particularly within the automotive or related sectors (Auto OEM experience preferred).
     
  • Proven track record in driving process improvements, lean manufacturing, and quality control in manufacturing environments.
     
  • Expertise in Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and other process improvement methodologies.
     
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive change in complex operational settings.
     
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred for effective communication with the local team in Mexico.
     
  • Ability to travel to Mexico and work on-site for the duration of the project.
     
  • US Visa or ease of travel to the US is a plus.
     
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with experience managing multinational teams.
     
  • Previous experience working in global manufacturing environments (Mexico, Korea, China, etc.) is highly desirable.
     
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skill
