Our client, a leading management consulting firm is looking to effectively scale up and transform the procurement function for its client, an industrials major. A key element of the transformation is to leverage digital tools and technologies to the extent possible for greater efficiency. They are looking to engage with a procurement professional to help guide this exercise and help streamline the purchase function.
A few key deliverables will include -
- Analyse the existing procurement strategies, spend and approaches for key raw materials and Identify priority areas for improvement
- Assess the procurement and supply chain processes vis-a-vis best practices, and determine improvement opportunities
- Work with the consulting team and client to prioritise the most critical initiatives from a cost and efficiency perspective
- Lead the analysis and implementation planning for 2-3 prioritised initiatives (e.g., industry assessment for key raw materials, developing new vendors for select key commodities,)
- Help kickstart the implementation and work with the client team to ensure things are on track
- Define key performance metrics to assess the performance of the procurement function going forward
The project will be based out of Ranchi and fly backs to home location will be arranged by the client.
1. Deep experience in the procurement function - cost analysis, crafting purchasing strategies, vendor development and vendor management.
2. Understanding of digital and analytics will be a plus.
3. Experience with a top tier consulting firm.
