Assignment Details

Our client, an end to end business consulting firm is looking for a Consultant- BD and customer acquisition to support an ongoing engagement in the Water/ Water Management domain.

Responsibilities and roles include-
1. Maximize the tender ‘win’ rate by working with BD/Sales, Applications team, Procurement, Engineering and Management to optimize Tender solutions from initial concept to submission to the
customer
2. With support from the BD group, interface directly with the customer to develop solutions for special RFQ technical requirements (eg special materials, foot print, site conditions or other special design
requirements)
3. Under the direction of the Tender Lead prepare complete tendering bid packages including product descriptions, pricing, product availability, datasheets, General Arrangements, project schedule & other documentation as required
4. Maintain competitor product-crossover files from information that can be taken from design specifications and identify the competitor’s standard products and features vs NOV standard features
5. Assist and support the Tender Lead with the development/compilation of the Scope of Work (SoW)
and technical proposal as required
6. Support the tender lead to ensure bids are delivered in accordance with business objectives, winning
strategies, NOV tender process, budget, quality, and time.
7. Complete Tender and Contract Risk Review as required
8. Attend and participate in client bid clarification meetings ensuring customer care is at the foremost
position
9. Manage communication, and clarifications with the client
10. Support with the review of sub-vendor quotations and reply to bid clarifications with assistance from relevant engineering disciplines
11. Compile commercial quote documents to support the bid
12. Develop the schedule for the bid proposal
13. After notification of tender decision from the client ensure that lessons learned are documented and maintained
14. Support the development/improvement of the quoting process, tools and working practices
15. Support and contribute to the training and mentoring of the tender team members
16. Maintain the bid project file and ensure all supporting information is organized for handover to the
assigned Project Manager
17. Assist the BD and Tender team with the Sales to PM Handover process, develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Project Schedule, and Supplier Master Document List (SMDL)

The role is based out of Delhi

Skills Required

1. Ability to analyse environmental conditions and assumptions, which add to individual contribution.
2. Ability to link the uniqueness of water infrastructure development to the EPC sector
3. 20-25 years of experience in the Water industry/ water infrastructure development sector
4. Closing / negotiation skills and motivation for sales
5. Solid analytical and problem solving skills
6. Strong communication and inter-personal skills
