Assignment Details

Our client,a top-tier management consulting firm, is looking to engage with a consultant to achieve the circulation goals for their client - a leading Hindi newspaper player- in the specified geography.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Drive Sales
-Achievement of monthly and quarterly nos as per defined targets for the year
-Implement strategy for MS gain and retention across specified geographies
-Achieve key criteria across hawker/consumer level

Team & People
-Ensure a strong review mechanism for monitoring efficacy of the input and output matrices
-Develop, nurture and lead a strong sales team to drive business goals

Marketing and Demand Generation
-Design and drive hawker and consumer promotions
-Work with marketing to effectively implement a strong on-ground activity calendar

Inter-departmental Co ordination
-Liaise and work closely with content, supply chain and HR to optimize sales numbers

There are 2 geographies involved:
1) One role is stationed out of Jaipur and involves looking after key cities in Jodhpur, Udaipur, Alwar

2) The second role will be stationed out of Indore and involves looking after key cities in MP and CG

Skills Required

-Experience in Direct sales is a plus
-Strong achievement orientation and a proven track record of achieving sales targets consistently, preferrably in the Media or FMCG industry
-Ability to influence market dynamics, and external stakeholders like hawkers to drive company objectives
-Ability to lead, inspire and manage sales teams, including implementing basic sales discipline and processes
-Strong team leadership, management, communication & interpersonal skills
-Willingness to travel
