Our client, an American foundation is looking for a Consultant- AI Ecosystem Engagement.
The consultant will support the Cluster at the India Country Office of the Gates Foundation in shaping and amplifying the Foundation’s contribution to the forthcoming Global AI Impact Summit, with an emphasis on inclusive, impact driven AI.
India’s presidency of the Summit aims to highlight Global-South priorities such as:
• Showcasing high impact AI use-cases for social good across health, agriculture, skilling,
and other development domains
• Democratizing AI resources and bridging digital divides
• Indigenous & local AI development
• Alignment of AI governance and safety frameworks with emerging-economy needs
Workstream Illustrative Activities
Support translation of overall Summit objectives into an internal action plan;
act as liaison with Summit organizers.
Identify and nurture relationships with government, industry, civil-society, and
academic actors across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa to
enable optimal participation and amplification of priority themes.
Identify and curate AI for Social Good use-cases to be showcased, propose and
refine discussion themes, sessions, and speaker ideas that resonate with the
Foundation’s priority focus areas as well as with the Summit goals.
Co-design and coordinate pre-Summit convenings (roundtables, workshops,
webinars) that surface evidence, partnerships, or commitments.
Facilitate the creation of concise briefing notes, talking points, insight pieces,
and other knowledge products that connect Summit themes to the
Foundation’s mission.
Deliverables
• Stakeholder engagement brief highlighting priority actors, potential roles, and outreach
strategies.
• Concept notes for selected thematic sessions and side events.
• Event coordination materials (agendas, backgrounders, run-of-show) for key
convenings.
• Periodic progress updates capturing engagement highlights, risks, and next steps.
• Synthesis memo summarizing lessons learned and recommending post-Summit
follow-up.
Experience in planning and supporting high-level international conferences or summits.
Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
Proven ability to identify, engage, and coordinate with high-level speakers, panelists, and partners.
Research & Policy Analysis
Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information related to AI, international cooperation, and policy landscapes.
