Assignment Details

Our client is a manufacturer of high-quality technical textiles with multiple applications. They are looking to engage a Senior Strategy Consultant who can help them grow as well as diversify their business.

Responsibilities:

1. Guide the junior consultant support to drive a market assessment across the opportunity areas, using secondary & primary data sources across existing and related product lines, new product opportunities

2. Analyse and study the synthesized research data and emerging hypothesis to derive insights

3. Decide on a framework to shortlist opportunities given various parameter considerations- market size, growth potential, investment needed, etc.

4. Deep dive into potential ideas to pursue for both growth and diversification
- Look at opportunities that fully leverage the possibilities with the existing and related product lines, given the ongoing expansion of the infrastructure
- Identify new product areas the firm can expand into based on the opportunity and fit with capabilities (focus on value added products aimed at B2B clients)

5. Explore potential areas for technology transfer – to reduce dependence on China in their supply chains

6. Develop a business plan for the next 3-5 years outlining the
- Broad strategic approach for each opportunity to be pursued
- Implementation timelines
- Financial projections and investments needed

This project would require part time support for a duration of 10-12 weeks (2-3 days per week)

Skills Required

1) Experience in a top tier consulting firm with solid experience in manufacturing and/ or industrial operations projects
2) Ability to summarize complex information in a clear and concise manner
3) Excellent analytical skills and a strong sense for structure and logic
4) Good knowledge of the technical textile market would be preferred, but not necessary
5) Should be able to develop well structured business plans to purse
