Assignment Details

Our client, a Leading Not-For-Profit Public Institution for research-based
engagement targeted at young adults is looking to engage with a Marketing & Communications Consultant to generate strategies, material, and relationships to promote the message of the company to various stakeholders in the city and the country.

Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to) -

- Overall responsibility of and coordination with the Building & Works Committee
- Act as a first point of contact for all queries related to the construction
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of the architects, project management
consultants, museum planners, the construction company and any other specialty
consultants/vendors, to ensure that they are in sync and working towards the timely
completion of the construction
- Review and administer all tendering and procurement activities in conjunction with the relevant consultants who are preparing the scope of works for that particular
procurement
- Establish a communication protocol and schedule for the construction management process
- Manage effective working relationships across the stakeholders
- Conduct periodic meetings, not less than once a week, with the various stakeholders and track progress of the project vis-à-vis the project plan
- Monitor resources (expenses) from start to finish as against the budget for the
construction of Science Gallery. Explore options for value engineering wherever
possible
- Highlight deviations/raise red flags where the project does not conform to the plan
(completion milestones/financials); Find solutions to negotiate the same
- Ensure compliance with statutory, health and safety standards
- Review and certify vendor payments, including setting up transparent processes for approvals and disbursement
- Represent to the Board, accurate monitoring and progress reports
- Prepare briefings, background papers and supporting information for the Director and others relating to the Project
- Work closely with the Liaison Officer and supply all documents and reports related to construction activities that the Liaison officer would need for permissions, etc.

Skills Required

- Bachelor of engineering and/ or project management
- Strong problem solving and decision-making ability
- Strategic planning and execution ability
- Thorough understanding of construction procedures and project management
principles
- Familiarity with quality, health, and safety standards
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
