Our client, a leading global specialist in energy management and automation, is seeking a skilled and proactive Industrial Automation Engineer with 4–7+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation systems, including PLC, HMI, and SCADA, with hands-on experience in programming, testing, installation, and commissioning of test machines and automation solutions. Experience with Schneider Electric platforms is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement industrial automation solutions for machines based on technical files ensuring compliance with Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD) standards.
Lead parameter setting activities on test benches to ensure product quality.
Collaborate with process teams to understand technical requirements and deliver PLC, HMI, Vision, and Robot (Offline & Online) programming.
Load, test, prove out, and qualify test equipment and machines.
Manage installation, commissioning, and qualification of machines at Schneider Plants or supplier sites, if required.
Monitor machine performance during observation periods and ensure implementation of corrective actions as needed.
Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for operational machines.
Education: BE/Diploma in Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation / Mechatronics
Proven experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems — preferably with Schneider platforms.
Proficiency in Schneider PLC/HMI programming using SFC, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text.
Hands-on experience with industrial components including laser marking, robotics, vision inspection, scanning, torquing, sensors, welding controllers, printers, servo drives, and load cells.
Strong knowledge of communication protocols: Serial, Modbus, Profibus, TCP/IP, FTP, and Ethernet/IP.
Experience in troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and application layers.
Familiarity with PC-based test equipment and machine operation.
Understanding and validation of machine risk assessments, safety circuits, and Poka-Yoke implementations.
Experience in cycle time studies and line balancing.
Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
Proficient in English (spoken and written)
Knowledge of local languages such as Kannada, Telugu, or Tamil is a plus
