As a part time shipping documentation specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and managing some of the documents and paperwork for the export of goods. You will work with the full time staff to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and to facilitate smooth and timely delivery of shipments.
Job Duties:
Prepare and review some of the export documentation, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and export declarations.
Coordinate with shipping and logistics teams to ensure that orders are processed and shipped according to customer requirements and deadlines.
Communicate with customers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other relevant parties to provide information, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records and files of some of the export documentation and related correspondence.
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and quality of the shipping documentation process.
- At least 1 year of experience in shipping documentation or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing documents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with customs brokerage and freight forwarding is a plus.
