Assignment Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end material replenishment processes to ensure continuous availability of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to maintain the right balance between demand and resources.
  • Ensure stock availability in the required quantity, at the right time, and at the right location.
  • Collaborate with Upstream and Downstream Planning Leaders, Supply Planners, and Inventory Planners to optimize inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Monitor and act on MRP exception messages (e.g., expedite, delay, or cancel orders) to maintain supply continuity.
  • Define, review, and update inventory parameters such as safety stock, reorder points, and lead times.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure on-time delivery and manage expedite or rebalancing actions when required.
  • Support Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes by ensuring accurate data inputs for supply and demand planning.
  • Analyze supply and inventory performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure proper documentation and communication of material shortages, delays, and alternate sourcing plans.
  • Work closely with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow and accurate inventory transactions.
  • Manage inventory rebalancing between plants or warehouses and support RED Alert management for critical shortages.
  • Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams — including manufacturing, quality, and procurement — to prevent disruptions.
  • Engage with local suppliers and transport partners where applicable to resolve supply constraints.

Skills Required

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of MRP, Supply Planning, and Inventory Management principles.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or OneMM.
  • Familiarity with planning tools such as Kinaxis and supplier collaboration tools like SSP.
  • Ability to apply different replenishment strategies (MRP, ROP, Kanban, etc.) effectively.
  • Good understanding of vendor management models – Consignment, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), and Advanced Supplier Warehouse concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proactive issue-resolution capability.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills in both English and local/regional language(s) to effectively interact with on-ground teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Local language proficiency (verbal and written) is preferred to facilitate smoother collaboration with plant teams, local suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office tools – Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail and a focus on delivery timelines.
