Our client, a leading American multinational manufacturer of confectionery and pet food, is looking for a Spend Analytics Product Owner – Consultant.

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to manage and improve a leading spend management platform. You will ensure the platform meets the organization’s procurement needs and supports cost-saving and efficiency goals. This platform helps the organization understand and manage its spend, track supplier performance, and find opportunities for cost savings. It consolidates spend data, provides analytics, supports category management, and integrates with ERP and other systems.
 

Role Overview
As the Product Owner, you will work closely with the platform vendor and internal users to prioritize features, manage configurations, and drive platform improvements. You will lead key projects like updating category structures, mapping regions and segments, and improving integrations, while making sure users get the most value from the platform.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead configuration and development of the spend management platform
  • Work with vendor teams to ensure timely delivery of enhancements
  • Gather requirements and feedback from internal users to drive adoption
  • Manage the product backlog and prioritize work based on business goals
  • Oversee updates to category taxonomy, region/segment mapping, and integrations
  • Collaborate across procurement, IT, finance, and other teams
  • Ensure data accuracy, usability, and compliance
  • Provide training, documentation, and support to users
  • Monitor platform usage and identify areas for improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with product updates and industry best practices

Location: Hybrid / Remote
Contract Duration: 18 months

Skills Required

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, preferably in spend management, procurement, or analytics platforms
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, category management, and spend analytics
  • Experience working with Sievo or similar spend management tools is highly desirable
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable product features and configurations
  • Strong project management skills with experience in Agile methodologies
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and data-driven decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement technology ecosystems
  • Experience in change management and user training
  • Experience in a global, multi-segment setup with a matrix structure involving procurement segments and regional operations
