Our Client, a global management consulting firm, seeking a Consultant with experience in the shipbuilding and shipping sector.
Advise on strategic roadmap for the development of the shipbuilding and coastal shipping sectors in India.
Support the establishment of two key branches:
Shipbuilding Cell – to drive domestic shipbuilding and repair capabilities and catalyze investment into the sector.
Coastal Shipping Branch – to oversee the implementation of the Coastal Shipping Bill, 2024 and promote coastal and inland shipping.
Help structure these branches as nodal entities under DG Shipping, focused on:
Institutional reform
Investment facilitation
Infrastructure development
Policy evolution and implementation
Key Responsibilities-
1.Conduct industry analysis and benchmarking for global best practices.
2.Support strategic planning and program management efforts.
3.Assist in setting up institutional frameworks and operating models.
4.Develop investment outreach strategies and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
5.Provide inputs on policy recommendations and regulatory frameworks.
6.Coordinate with government bodies, industry players, and internal consulting teams.
7.Drive initiatives in capacity building, process digitization, and long-term sectoral planning.
1. Prior experience in the shipbuilding, shipping, maritime, or infrastructure sectors.
2.Exposure to public sector projects, policy advisory, or consulting engagements is a plus.
3.Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
4.Willingness to be based in Delhi and travel to client or project sites as required.
