Assignment Details

Our client, an international, non profit global health organization, is looking to engage with a Lead consultant - Public Health specialist

Provide overall leadership and guide documentation of global best practices to provide strategic advice to improve the design.
Study the proposed leadership and coordination structures for metropolitan surveillance units and provide technical guidance on how to improve effectiveness drawing on global knowledge and understanding.
Review disease trends in representative sample of cities to assess appropriateness of infrastructure and staffing proposed.
Study tools developed for geospatial epidemiology and its application to predict disease outbreaks and vulnerable population.
Lead preparation of policy briefs, protocols and standards for establishment and operation for metropolitan surveillance program for wider dissemination.
Duration: 2 years

Skills Required

Qualifications:
Education: MBBS, MD, PhD in Public Health/Epidemiology/Global Health, or MPH.
Experience: At least 15 years in public health or epidemiology.
Key Skills:
Leadership: Guide strategic advice and documentation of global best practices.
Technical Expertise: Knowledge of public health surveillance systems and geospatial epidemiology.
Analysis: Review disease trends and assess infrastructure and staffing needs.
Policy Development: Lead creation of policy briefs, protocols, and standards.
Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for effective collaboration.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with tools for geospatial epidemiology and public health analysis.
