Our client an Indian multinational automotive manufacturer looking for an experienced Business Strategy Expert with a strong track record of leading Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the full lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine comprehensive business plans for BESS projects, including:
1. Market sizing and segmentation
2.Competitive landscape analysis
3.Customer and stakeholder identification
-Conduct financial modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and ROI projections to support investment decisions
-Formulate go-to-market strategies tailored to specific markets or customer segments
-Assess regulatory, policy, and grid interconnection environments for BESS deployment
-Collaborate with technical, engineering, and operations teams to ensure alignment between strategy and execution
-Identify and evaluate partnership, funding, or acquisition opportunities within the energy storage ecosystem
Skills Required:
-Proven experience in business strategy, corporate development, or management consulting in the energy or cleantech sectors
-Strong understanding of battery storage technologies, applications (e.g., grid services, renewable integration), and market dynamics
-Demonstrated ability to build and present high-impact business cases and investor-ready models
-Proficiency in financial modeling tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
-Experience with regulatory frameworks and incentive mechanisms for BESS in key global/regional markets is a plus
-Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- 7+ years of experience in energy or infrastructure sectors, with at least 2–3 years focused on BESS or energy transition
