Our client, a family office that focuses on innovative early-stage technology businesses is looking for a strategy cosultant with a background in Manufacturing.
Biltech Building Elements Limited (BBEL): Founded in 1993, BBEL is the first company to introduce Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks in India and remains a leading player in its manufacturing. With a diverse geographical presence boasting 6 plants BBEL strategically positions its facilities to minimise logistics costs, having plants in close proximity to both end-user markets and raw material sources.
BBEL has played a vital role in over 4000 projects in India, contributing to significant venturessuch as DDA Mass Housing, PWD Delhi, CPWD, NTPC, T-3 Terminal, DMRC Stations,Commonwealth Games Village, and various Cantonments across Jammu and Kashmir. In addition to AAC blocks, BBEL excels in Painting and Specialty Coating for Plants, Townships, and select real estate projects. The company is also engaged in the manufacture of Pre-fabricated Reinforced Building Products.
Responsibilities:
a) Market Analysis:
• In-depth analysis of AAC blocks market and related products
• Evaluation of market trends, demands, and potential growth areas
• Identification of emerging technologies impacting the industry
b) Competitor Analysis:
• Assessment of key competitors in AAC blocks market
• SWOT analysis and positioning for each major competitor
• Comparative analysis to benchmark BBEL against industry leaders
c) Strategic Plan Formulation:
• Development of a 3-5 year strategic plan
• Recommendations for product portfolio enhancement, market expansion, and
diversification
• Strategies for sustainability, innovation, and potential digital transformation
d) Opportunities Exploration:
• Identification and analysis of strategic opportunities.
• Assessment of potential partnerships, collaborations, or mergers and acquisitions
Skills Required
a) Relevant Experience:
• Strategic planning for manufacturing companies within the construction industry
and specifically AAC or adjacent verticals.
b) Expertise and Qualifications:
• Demonstrated expertise in market analysis and strategic planning
• Team members must hold relevant qualifications in business strategy
c) Methodology:
• Clearly outline proposed methodology for market and competitor analyses
• Describe approach to formulating a customised strategic plan for BBEL
