Assignment Details

Our client , a Software and Strategic IT Solutions firm is looking to engage with a Senior Data Engineering Consultant to get guidance in in setting up a data engineering unit.

Need strategic guidance in the following areas :

1. Define Objectives: Identify the specific market problems or opportunities to address, e.g. improving data quality, enabling advanced analytics, or enhancing data-driven decision-making etc.
2. Leadership and Team Structure: Define the team structure and roles required, such as data engineers, data architects, data scientists, and data analysts.
3. Develop a Roadmap: Create a roadmap outlining the steps and milestones for setting up the unit i.e. provide a clear plan of action.
4. Tools & Technologies: Information on software, cloud services, tools to build capabilities in.
5. Skill Development and Training: Guidance on investment in skill development and training programs.
6. Business generation : Input on types of companies and projects to pursue

Skills Required

Skills required :
1. 20+ years of experience in data engineering, data system development or related roles.
2. Ability to build, maintain and improve upon data architecture, collection and storage systems.
3. Ability to manage and guide other data engineer processes.
4. Proficiency in data warehousing, relational databases and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) technologies.
5. Expertise in ETL technologies and processes.
6. Experience in big data tools and databases.
7. Experience in cloud computing technologies.
8. Working knowledge of computer programming languages (Java, Python, R, Scala).
9. Understanding of database security and compliance tools.
10. Familiarity with machine learning technologies.
