Assignment Details
The assignment involves working with a set of functional consultants and developers to architect solutions in the area of planning, budgeting and analytics. The platform which we work on is Board EPM. This is a multi dimensional database which is used by more than 3500+ companies globally. Some of the planning applications built on Board include financial planning and budgeting, retail planning, demand planning etc. For more details of the platform, please visit www.board.com
The key deliverables are as follows:
1) Understand the functional requirements as explained in the functional specifications document.
2) Technical Architecture and design of the solution using the features/functionalities of Board - The candidate will be given basic exposure to Board Software Platform
3) Prepare a technical design document which can be used by the developers to build the solution
4) Guide the development team to achieve the desired technical results
The assignment is a part time assignment requiring about 15 to 20 hours per week and will be based out of our office in JP Nagar, Bangalore.
Skills Required
The candidate should have thorough exposure to architecting solutions on multi dimensional database planning platforms like Board, Cognos TM1, Anaplan, o9, Hyperion Essbase etc or Business Intelligence platform like Qlikview, Microsoft BI,Cognos etc Key skills required are
1) Deep understanding of data cubes, data hierarchies, ETL, OLAP, BI etc
2) Ability to prepare a detailed technical design document which can be understood by developers.
3) Excellent problem solving ability in the technical domain.
4) Prior experience of developing / architecting solutions in the area of planning and budgeting is desirable
