Our client, a global FMCG company is looking to engage with a Consultant Sales Head. You will lead the customer development strategy across all regions. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key distributor relationships, and ensuring flawless execution of initiatives. This role demands an agile entrepreneurial leader with solid commercial acumen, and a passion for building high-performing teams and distributors.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
-Lead and manage the national field sales team to achieve volume, value, and market share targets
-Develop and implement channel-specific business plans aligned with brand strategy.
-Drive Joint Business Planning (JBP) with key distributors and retail partners.
-Monitor and optimize trade investments, pricing, and promotional strategies.
-Ensure executional excellence in-store through effective merchandising and visibility.
-Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing Supply chain and Finance to deliver business objectives.
-Analyze sales performance data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
-Design and implement sales incentive programs and performance tracking systems.
-Ensure compliance with internal controls, governance, and ethical standards.
Duration- 3 months ((potential for full time engagement)
Capacity- Full time
Location- Andheri Mumbai (travel for business :15-20 days a month)
• 10–15 years of progressive experience in sales, preferably in FMCG
• Proven success in managing large sales teams and distributor networks.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• High digital literacy and analytical capabilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on execution and results.
Preferred Attributes
• Experience working in a high growth chaotic organization.
• Deep understanding of India General trade and wholesale.
• High responsiveness and working hours flexibility
• Strong leadership presence and ability to inspire teams.
• Familiarity with the consumer goods product portfolio and brand ethos.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Commercial skills- competent in schemes, profits, pricing ladders, sales analysis etc
• Negotiation skills
• Team leadership including skip level leadership
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and sales software tools
• Excellent business communication skills , preferably in English – F2F and emails
