Our client, a leading global FMCG organisation, is looking to engage with Consultant: Fragrance Design Leader for 1-year long project based out of Mumbai.
Project Overview:
- Leading the Global Fragrance Design projects, working as the interface between perfumers, category teams and Fragrance House partners, to deliver excellence in all aspects of cross-category perfumery.
- The focus of the Fragrance Design Leader is to evaluate fragrance creation and selection, being the fragrance expert within a wide range of functions (R&D, marketing, supply management).
Key Responsibilities:
• Support a fragrance team in the development of fragrances for key global brands and products
• Continuously building organisation's internal global fragrance capability
• Translate fragrance trends, consumer insights, category strategy and an in-depth understanding of our Brands in the markets in which they exist into fragrance briefs to inspire the best from per. • Lead the brief; working closely with perfumers, category teams and other Fragrance Development Managers to manage the fragrance development process, internally and externally, assessing fragrances and making fragrance recommendations across all project types (innovation, regulatory)
• Ensure fragrance regulatory and safety compliance across markets
• Work in close collaboration with all of the interfaces (formulation, brand, procurement), to optimise fragrance delivery and improve value.

• Industry experience in fragrance evaluation, in an FMCG or Fragrance House would be an advantage
• Experience in managing individuals
• The job requires a high level of olfactive ability coupled with an inquisitive passion to understand consumer preference in fragrance, being their voice in the creation of new fragrances
• Able to prioritize complex workloads, seamlessly working across multiple time zones and self-motivate.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, using positive influence to gain support for transformational programmes
• Forward-thinking: You must be intrigued by and be aware of trends, competitor activities and plans for other brands in our business as constant sources of inspiration and intelligence. • Love to win and having fun doing it: Fragrance is not an exact science.
• You will have a ‘digital mindset’ towards your way of working to ensure that data and insights are captured, maximised and used across the business.
