Assignment Details
Our Client a Non-profit organization is seeking a proactive and analytical Strategy Associate to join their team for a 8-10 month period, focusing on Public Finance and Digital Transformation. The successful candidate will play a critical role in understanding the public finance landscape across various sectors in
multiple countries. This will involve conducting in-depth secondary and primary research, analyzing the use of digital platforms in current systems, and assessing the feasibility of digital transformation in public finance using DPI.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research & Analysis:
○ Conduct comprehensive secondary research to map out the public finance
landscape across various sectors in different countries.
○ Perform primary research, including designing and implementing surveys,
interviews, and focus groups to gather insights from key stakeholders.
○ Develop frameworks and questionnaires tailored to uncover detailed
information flow and financial management challenges in public finance.
2. Technology & Digital Platforms:
○ Understand and assess the use of digital systems in public finance.
○ Utilize this understanding to identify information flow gaps and challenges in
the existing systems.
○ Propose solutions that can enhance the effectiveness of public finance
management through digital transformation.
3. Comparative Study:
○ Compare and contrast findings from different countries and sectors to identify
trends, common challenges, and unique factors.
○ Assess the readiness and suitability of each country for implementing digital
transformation in public finance through DPI.
○ Identify and recommend the most promising countries or sectors for a DPI
approach in public finance.
4. Strategic Recommendations:
○ Collaborate with internal teams to develop actionable insights and strategic
recommendations based on research findings.
○ Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate research outcomes
to stakeholders and decision-makers.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
○ Engage with key stakeholders, including government officials, financial
institutions, and international organizations, to gather insights and validate
findings.
○ Support the development of partnerships with local and international
organizations for the successful implementation of digital public finance solutions.
Outputs Responsible For:

Skills Required
Qualifications:
● Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Economics, Information Systems, Finance, International Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
● Experience:
○ 1-3 years of experience in research, strategy, or consulting roles, preferably
within public finance or development sectors.
○ Exposure to digital platforms in any relevant field is beneficial.
○ Experience with projects involving technology-driven change or an interest
in digital public infrastructure is a plus.
● Skills:
○ Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex
information from various sources.
○ Proficiency in designing and conducting surveys, interviews, and other primary
research methods.
○ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in report
writing and presentation.
○ Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
○ Cross-cultural sensitivity and experience working in diverse environments.
