Assignment Details

We are seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive Project Management Consultancy (PMC) or construction experience in semiconductor foundry setups across global markets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the complexities of semiconductor manufacturing facilities, including cleanroom environments, high-tech infrastructure, and advanced utilities. They should also possess hands-on experience in working with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and design partners on large-scale, high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise and Leadership:

Act as the primary technical authority on semiconductor foundry construction projects, offering expertise in facility design, construction, and project management.
Provide guidance on global best practices and standards in semiconductor facility construction.

Project Involvement Examples:

Share comprehensive details of past projects, including:
Scale of the Project: Facility size (e.g., area in sq. ft.), budget (e.g., multi-billion-dollar investments), production capabilities, and technical specifications.
Key Stakeholders: Collaborations with prominent design firms, General Contractors (GCs), and PMCs (e.g., Fluor, Jacobs, Samsung Engineering, etc.).
Role Played by the SME: Define specific responsibilities such as program management, construction oversight, cleanroom design validation, or stakeholder coordination.

Project Execution and Oversight:

Lead and monitor the execution of semiconductor foundry projects from concept to commissioning.
Ensure alignment with international standards for cleanroom construction, process utilities, and environmental controls.
Manage schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks, resolving any discrepancies proactively.

Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination:

Collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants to deliver projects within defined timelines and budgets.
Serve as a key interface between project owners, engineering teams, and construction contractors.
Prepare detailed progress reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.

Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall project performance.
Incorporate lessons learned from previous projects into ongoing and future initiatives.

Note: The duration of the project is 3 months extendable to 6 months and requires travel to Mumbai/Ahmedabad

Skills Required

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in PMC or construction roles, with at least 5 years in semiconductor foundry projects.
Proven expertise in delivering large-scale semiconductor facilities globally, managing budgets of $500M or more.
Strong familiarity with cleanroom standards (e.g., ISO 14644), process utility requirements, and advanced MEP systems.
Experience working with leading global PMCs and contractors such as Turner Construction, AECOM, or KBR.

Desired Skills:

Comprehensive knowledge of semiconductor facility design, including wafer fab processes, cleanrooms, and high-purity systems.
Exceptional project management and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work with global and cross-functional teams.
