Our Client, a leading global specialist in energy management and automation is looking for a Consultant- MEP Project Engineer. An experienced Site Manager/MEP Project Engineer with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The candidate will oversee and manage the execution of MEP works at various project sites, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Plan and manage MEP projects from inception to completion, including the preparation of project schedules, progress tracking, and coordination with stakeholders.
Site Supervision: Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that MEP installations are executed as per design and compliance with standards.
Technical Expertise: Review project designs, drawings (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems), and material submittals for MEP systems, ensuring timely approvals.
Installation and Commissioning: Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems such as HVAC, firefighting, electrical, and plumbing.
Quality Assurance/Control (QA/QC): Monitor construction standards, safety protocols, and quality control processes. Prepare inspection test plans (ITPs) and method statements for various MEP activities.
Coordination: Liaise with consultants, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution, including conducting technical review meetings.
Cost Control and Documentation: Manage project budgets, control material expenses, and prepare billing documentation. Review BOQs and ensure that all costs are tracked.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety regulations and environmental standards are strictly adhered to on site.
Skills Required
Mechanical Engineering: Strong knowledge in HVAC, piping, fire protection systems, and process cooling water.
Electrical Engineering: Experience with LV panels, generators, transformers, lighting systems, BMS, and fire alarm systems.
Project Execution: Experience with large-scale projects, including airports, high-rise buildings, and commercial infrastructure.
Installation & Commissioning: Hands-on experience in the installation and commissioning of MEP systems.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and other project management tools.
