Assignment Details

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quality Specialist to join our team in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance across our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing or processing and will be responsible for leading quality assurance initiatives, supporting regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in food quality systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality systems in accordance with regulatory and company standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRC).
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics; identify trends and propose corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Lead internal audits, coordinate third-party audits, and manage customer audits.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations and certifications.
  • Provide technical support and training to cross-functional teams on quality systems, standards, and best practices.
  • Manage product testing, sampling plans, and inspection protocols for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
  • Investigate non-conformities and customer complaints, ensuring root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support product development and quality improvements.
  • Maintain quality documentation, SOPs, and traceability systems in alignment with industry standards.

Stay up to date with changes in regulatory requirements and emerging trends in food safety and quality

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the food industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, FSSAI, EU standards, etc.).
  • Certified in HACCP, ISO 22000, or equivalent quality management systems (preferred).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with quality management software and tools is a plus.
