About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced On-the-Ground Consultant (OTC) with deep procurement expertise in the Indian pharmaceutical sector. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across direct and indirect procurement, a proven ability to design and execute cost reduction programs, and the capability to independently drive workstreams in a fast-paced, onsite consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage procurement-focused workstreams across the pharmaceutical value chain, covering both direct (API, raw materials, packaging) and indirect (MRO, services, capex, utilities) categories.
2. Design, execute, and track cost reduction and value optimization programs, including strategic sourcing, supplier rationalization, should-costing, and demand optimization initiatives.
3. Conduct detailed spend analysis, identify savings levers, and develop implementation-ready recommendations aligned with business and regulatory constraints.
4. Engage closely with client stakeholders, procurement teams, and functional leaders to gather inputs, validate hypotheses, and support decision-making.
5. Support execution and monitoring of procurement transformation and savings initiatives, ensuring measurable and sustainable outcomes.
6. Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, dashboards, and documentation for both internal and client-facing forums.
7. Ensure timely delivery of all project outputs, proactively identify and escalate risks, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
