Our client, a global FMCG company is looking to engage with a Legal Consultant.
Key Expectations:
-Exhibit robust functional skills and attributes in partnering with the Foods India Business Unit.
-Offer proactive legal support and counsel to the business and key stakeholders, assisting them in achieving their primary goals while effectively managing and mitigating associated legal risks.
-Possess comprehensive exposure and knowledge of laws applicable to companies operating in the retail sector, particularly FSSAI regulations, Legal Metrology, Contract Law, and Consumer Laws.
-Demonstrate interpersonal, collaboration and stakeholder management skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
-Foster and cultivate a culture of excellence, rigor, and process orientation within the legal function.
Role Description:
This role will be part of the Legal Functional Lead that need to enable the success of a standalone Ice Cream company in India that is geared for future success as a market leader in the Industry. The key responsibilities of this role are:
-Work with the India General Counsel in managing all legal and secretarial responsibilities.
-Support the activities in demerger / separation process of Ice Cream Business.
-Support Marketing, Customer Development (CD), supply Chain (SC) teams establishing the process and policies for the Ice Cream business.
-Managing litigation
-Reviewing and drafting various agreements, such as purchase agreements, distribution agreements, endorsement agreements, joint promotion agreements, collaboration agreements, and others.
-Overseeing contract management, ensuring proper documentation and timely renewal of all agreements and contracts.
-Documenting relationships with external parties through contracts, T&Cs and advise business from time to time.
-Responding to high-risk consumer complaints towards ensure effective closure.
-Keep up to date with changes to company law and best practice.

• LL.B. with 7 to 10 years of experience in the FMCG sector. (fine with lesser experience as well)
• A Qualified Company Secretary would be an additional advantage.
• Preferred Experience: worked with the Company Secretarial teams and /or experience specifically in the foods / FMCG industry.
