Our client, a multinational food manufacturer is looking to engage with a Merchandise Innovation Manager to help bring new products to market, and improve existing ones, based on industry trends & consumer fit, to meet the needs of the company’s target market.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and Deliver key innovation projects to support business goals.
• Develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products and study the potential of new products.
• Understand customer and shopper expectations on to-be manufactured products
• Establish project goals and priorities by collaborating with Marketing and Operations.
• Assess projects and ensure they are on time and within budget
• Generating new packaging products in response to briefs
• Ensuring that packaging products meet set requirements and specifications
Key Performance Indicators:
• Creation of a 3 year Portfolio Pipeline
• Compliance to Project Budgets
• Launch and sustenance Marketing plans
• Innovation portfolio Manager – Strategic approach to portfolio planning
• Customer Impact & Business Acumen – proven capability in understanding financial measurements and implications to product development. Ability to understand the target customer and knowledge of product trends
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and bias for action
• Planning & Execution – proven experience in plan, prioritize and adapt to change while achieving and maintaining results for multiple projects
• Problem Solver & Drive Results - can see a problem from multiple angles and provide viable, innovative options for resolution; successfully lead complex negotiations
• Excellent Communicator - proven capability to communicate and present effectively in adaption to the audience needs.
