Our client, a leading FMCG firm, is looking to engage with a PMO consultant with experience in Packaging.

Key Deliverables/ KPIs:

- Maintain a steady flow of product concepts to the product innovation team.
- Map product portfolio weaknesses in comparison to competitors.
- Collaborate and brainstorm with product innovation and design team members to help make their ideas (whether products or campaigns) stronger and more disruptive from packaging.
- Conduct competitor product and communications audits – making recommendations for improving their product messaging, campaigns, and claims mainly to Sustainability and packaging metrics.
- Responsible for overall performance standards of all packaging projects lead by category team and capability team that includes their sustainability agenda 2025-30.
- Support & Implement margin improvements initiatives.
- Scope and identify various tasks or phases of work in the life cycle of multiple projects or products within sales, marketing, and development.
- Establish compliance to budgetary, time, and resource risk.
- Formulate and implement plans for recovery, alteration of work, or handling of emergencies, disruptions to programs, production or project schedules, and unanticipated events.
- Communicate timely progress of work, goals, problems, and other issues to appropriate levels of management.
- Lead the overall design and execution of project management process solutions to facilitate the management of multiple programs.
- Manage the master project plan for various programs to ensure disruptions are communicated and actioned timely across the various project touchpoints.

Skills Required

- 5+ years of relevant packaging management /leader experience in FMCG
- Strong Packaging Skills at least in these technology Rigids: bottles (EBM, BM, IBM) Closures (IM) and Flexible: (Coextrusion/ Extrusion) that includes Laminates, Adhesives, Coating and SUP.
- Strong project management skill (including rigorous risk management and problem-solving skills).
- Passionate to discover their purpose and are free to champion it. Placing sustainability at the forefront of innovation development.
- Strong communication, Influencing and presentation skills (English).
- Lead packaging design fit for purpose validation (consumer evaluation, packing testing, line trials, transit trial etc.)
- Conduct lab experiments to validate the packaging, including at supplier’s end.
- Use the relevant digital tools to capture data and validation purpose.
- Define and write global technical specifications, deliver the global transfer package and providing the sufficient technical support to the deployment teams.
- Support the packaging technology program and work with cross category packaging partners to the developments of pack structures to be implemented in SCL category.
- Support PKG manager to define PKG strategy and implement it in the projects.
- Conduct competitor product and communications audits – making recommendations for improving their product messaging, campaigns, and claims mainly to Sustainability and packaging metrics.
- Knowledge in packaging laboratory capabilities and design the validation tests to component and mold approvals.
