Assignment Details
Our client, a top FMCG company, is looking for independent Product Development consultant, who can deliver the following responsibilities:-
1. Product Development Lead
a) Design Skin care formulations for premium brands & regional specific
innovations for global brands
b) Partner with Global R&D center to deploy innovations & renovations OTIF in each case,
Lead product development and scale-up activities of all Skin product formats
(Body wash, shower gel, scrub, Baby care products ) & ensure robust technology
transfer to factories
Provide 360-degree technical support for market development including
activations & promotions
Provide formulation inputs for developing claims & demo tool kits for respective
brands
Ensure that local insights and legislative requirements are fed into global innovations
2. Technical Project Leadership
Define and deliver all technical aspects of the projects (including formulation,
fragrance, packaging, processing, consumer testing, product costs, legal,
regulatory & safety, etc)
Build a close working partnership with the global technical project leaders and ensure alignment to the brand DNA, philosophy and brand performance standards.
Be a strong business partner as part of a cross-functional team, representing
R&D in network meetings with SC, SM, Marketing, legal, regulatory etc.
Maintain a sense of realism, purpose and urgency within the technical teams
and rest of the category through active risk management.
3. Work with External Partner Ecosystem to co-develop and land innovations
4. SPOC for Competitor Monitoring & Intelligence for Premium
brands and lead the technical understanding and opportunity areas in Premium Beauty segment and provide insights for new product development
Note: This project is 1 year long with full time capacity, The consultant will have to be based in Mumbai during the project duration.
Skills Required
1.Minimum Qualification - B. Pharma /B. Tech (Chemical Engineering) or Post
Graduate in Chemistry.
2. Minimum 6-7 year’s experience in R&D and Product Development, preferably with skin care & cleansing.
3. Strong communication, experience of working in matrix system, ability to lead cross functional teams, stakeholder management are necessary skills for this job.
