Our client, an American multinational manufacturer of confectionery and pet foods is looking to engage with a Consultant.

Key responsibilities:
• Provides World-Class Governance and Financial Operations: Be trusted and effective custodians by creating a controlled environment for the business to allow it to maintain its integrity.
• Financial Control: The knowledge and application of business processes, internal control concepts and practices, and auditing techniques to ensure cost-effective protection of business assets and approval of and governance over business activities at the appropriate level in the organization.
• Accounting: The knowledge and application of Mars’ accounting policies and principles, U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (as prescribed in the Finance Manual), applicable local government regulations and Mars’ transaction processing systems in order to meet business reporting requirements for providing timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
• Financial Processes: The knowledge of and ability to design, implement, continually improve upon, and govern the standard financial processes (Mars Golden Processes) in order to deliver efficient and effective financial operations with the right balance of cost, quality, control and service.
• Manage the processes of the Factory financial shaping and financial forecasting (including Capex), analysis, management accounting and reporting. Including identifying business issues and opportunities, and making recommendations for future actions.
• Working on FA / AP / CO module in SAP for the manufacturing site.
• Manage the processes of product costing, intercompany transfer price calculation.
• Tracking and reporting of periodic capital spends.
• Instill strong cost control and planning discipline to assist the Finance Co-pilot & plant management team in understanding & controlling manufacturing costs.
• Dealing with indirect tax (GST) compliances for the site.
• Lead and manage the monthly and annual book closing process.
• Managing and controlling the inventory process for the factory.

Duration - 6 months (Full time)
Location- Consultant to be based in or around Chandigarh.

Skills Required

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. CPA/MBA preferred
3. Financial modeling expertise will be a plus
5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
6. Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
7. Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion are required
8. Knowledge of procedural controls and data validation techniques required
9.Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
10. Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems
11. Strong presence with the ability to interact with Senior Leadership
