Develop detailed control narratives from project documentation such as RFQs, process specifications, and P&IDs to support automated control logic generation.
Evaluate outputs generated by an AI-based automation prototype, ensuring technical correctness, control logic accuracy, and domain compliance.
Provide expert feedback and suggest automation programming best practices and domain-specific guidelines to improve solution quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineers, software developers, and project managers to support successful deployment and validation.
Proven hands-on experience in procedural automation and process control applications within the CPG and/or Oil & Gas industries.
Expertise in designing and implementing control strategies for applications such as:
CPG: Batching, blending, filling, packaging
Oil & Gas: Pipeline operations, refining units, wellhead and separation systems
Strong knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric) and/or DCS platforms (e.g., Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell Experion, ABB 800xA).
Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and OPC UA.
Deep understanding of relevant standards and methodologies:
ISA-88 (Batch Control)
ISA-95 (Enterprise-Control System Integration)
IEC 61131 & IEC 61499 (PLC standards) — knowledge in these is highly desirable
Ability to work independently and in geographically distributed teams with excellent documentation and communication skills.
